Darren Manley is a California-based author, blogger, and speaker.

As the 25 year–old son of elderly, Greatest Generation parents, his work speaks to all who have ever gone against the grain in some way – whether because of culture, age, or family – and draws parallels between the decades that both entertain and illuminate.

His popular Growing Up Old blog has garnered international attention since its inception, leading to guest-blogging spots with BusinessWeek and the New York Times. His posts have been hailed by BBC Radio as "very moving."

Darren has published articles in Millionaire magazine and Worth. Educated at Holy Cross College and California State University, Los Angeles, he is active in the academic community, tutoring children at 826LA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving writing and storytelling skills.
